Submission information

- Overview
My primary concerns when choosing work for the guest gallery are my benefactors (generous fans that subscribe to this site), and my own personal preferences.
People come to this site expecting a certain degree of 'manliness' in the imagery. I've built the bulk of the content in the site around that idea. But, I think, or hope, that an equal draw is the overall theme of narrative imagery.
And, of course,
'Manliness' is not the deciding factor, though it's a thematic consideration.

My own personal preferences, in this context, have to do with illustrative style. I enjoy anatomical precision and accuracy in drawings. But there are some artists on the site that forego literal or realist approaches to erotic imagery, and instead focus on stylistic cartooning, which also totally fucking rules.
Popularity of an artist has absolutely zero bearing on what is chosen for the guest gallery, if you are hesitant to submit because you aren't necessarily popular, please dismiss that notion!

- Method of submission
The best way to submit work is to just send me the drawings you'd like to submit. Email is heavily preferred. By preferred, I mean email only. Be sure the subject is something obvious, 'adm submissions,' etc. You can send me completed drawings, or sketches that we'd discuss a deadline for.
A craftsman should know and understand the worth of their work. You will name a price that you'd like me to pay when you submit your works.

- Response
I will respond within a week or so (it's just me doing the site, cut me some slack!), letting you know if your work has been accepted or rejected. If rejected, I will give reasons. I realize that submitting work can make a creator feel vulnerable, if your work is rejected I will be as tactful and polite as possible in explaining why, but you must be prepared to potentially be critiqued and rejected. Do not take such things personally! Keep practicing, and submit again later.
Sometimes, work will be rejected simply because I don't have the money or can't afford your price.

- Accepted
We will discuss payment and deadlines via email. Every guest artist gets a one year pass to the site in addition to discussed payment. Each artist is featured on their own page, with a short bio and links to your sites or email addresses.

- Deadline
If you sent me sketches to be completed at a later date, do not miss deadline. I must be severe about this for financial and general planning reasons. If you miss deadline, I will not accept your work and you will not be paid. I will not remind you that work is due as deadline approaches. I will not contact you if you miss deadline. Sometimes people get wrapped up in real life and don't have time to draw gay cartoon animals for the gay cartoon animal website, I understand that. Though, I probably won't buy from you again unless you have finished works, sorry!

OK, having said that, I'm a totally reasonable guy so if you are afraid you might miss the deadline, email me at least two weeks ahead of time and let me know, and we can probably work something out.
Obviously, it is better to have the work completed when submitting in the first place to avoid this all together.

I pay at deadline, or if you give me the work before deadline, I will pay asap after receiving the work, but you may not be paid until the original deadline date.

- Rights
I ask that the images that are accepted into the guest gallery be exclusive to this site for one year after they are posted, after which I ask that you please do with them as you prefer! Post them, print them, whatever. I am basically renting an image or images from you for a year.
Submitted images will most likely not appear on the site instantly, and may not appear for up to several months. I keep a cache of images at my disposal, and a queue in which they are posted.
If, after a year, you would like the images removed from this site, I am happy to do so.

The only rights to your images I maintain are the rights to display them on this site indefinitely. If I wanted any other kind of permission to your work, I would contact you, of course.

I will never sell any work from the guest gallery in any form, print, digital, or otherwise. The extent of my rights to your submitted works include only the displaying of those works in the guest gallery and nothing more.

All this stuff sounds really rigid and formal :I I just want it to be clear that I'm not gonna fuck you over.
